After a cold March night the first track meet of the season is in the books. As expected both girls and boys track teams were very competitive in the meet, with some expected individuals having standout performances. All three track and field coaches: Darwin, Runyan and Kamplain were very pleased with the effort and attitudes of their athletes and hope to use this first meet as a building block as they move forward in the season and prepare for sectionals and state.

Both girls and boys track and field teams will be back in action next week. The Vikings will travel to Corner on Thursday with a 3:30 start time. After a short rest the Vikings will travel up to Huntsville on Saturday March 11. Come out and support these kids as they race towards state. GO VIKES!!!!
