Coach Eric Phillips and the Viking Indoor Track Team have qualified 11 athletes to compete in the AHSAA Indoor Track State Championships today at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
The two day event will feature many of the top athletes from across the state of Alabama. The runners will compete in four separate classifications: 1A-3A, 4A-5A, 6A, and 7A.
Viking runners who will compete for a chance at a Blue Map are:
Jurni Cummings- 60 meter, 800 meter, and 4X200 Relay
Temperance Chatman- 400 meter and 4X200 Relay
Carlee Muncher- 800 meter, 400 meter, and 4X200 Relay
Makenna Lewis- 4X200 Relay
Jakob Wilson- 800 meter, 4X200 Relay, 4X400 Relay, and 4X800 Relay
Ken Holiday- 60 meter, 4X200 Relay, and 4X400 Relay
Hudson Freeman- 4X200 Relay, 4X400 Relay, and 4X800 Relay
Dax Dickinson- 800 meter, 4X200 Relay, and 4X400 Relay
Riley Creel- 4X800 Relay
Braydon Allred- 4X800 Relay
John David Harrell- 60 meter and 60 meter hurdles
