The Jasper Lady Vikings claimed victory in both varsity and JV action in their home openers Tuesday night versus the Russellville Golden Tigers. In the JV contest, Jasper showed great improvement from their first game, as they battled to the 19-15 victory. The Vikes featured balanced scoring with seven players scoring between 1 and 4 points. Ansley Laye and Zia Vinson led Jasper with 4 points each. In varsity action, the Vikings fell behind early, but kept their composure and charged ahead in the final three quarters to secure the 49-42 victory. Molly Kate Atkins led the Vikes with 22 points, and Jordan Gilbert contributed 9 points for Jasper.
