At Jasper High School, our goal every year is to run a first-class track and field program. To do that, we need your help. Our funding from the school district gives us a good start but does not cover everything we need to make our athletes’ season a truly memorable one. This fundraiser will help us to offset the cost of our upcoming season including needed new equipment, travel, and entry fees.
We want to give our student-athletes the best opportunity to succeed and create as many new memories as possible. The Vikings track and field program is asking for your assistance to help make this possible. Any donation is greatly appreciated and a tax-deductible receipt will be issued for your support.
A Message from Head Coach Patrick Darwin…
As the Head Coach of the Jasper Track & Field program, I am very excited about the 2019 season. We have such a great passion for what we do and we are surrounded by great people within the Vikings Family. Our athletes do an excellent job of preparing to be GREAT, whether in the classroom, on the track, or in the community. Previous Seasons highlights:
~ 5 consecutive years of 20+ athletes competing at the state track meet in Gulf Shores, AL.
~ 6 Individual State Champions
~ 1 Top 3 Team Finish at State Track meet
The large majority of our program’s funding continues to be generated from the athletes, their parents, and the support and generosity within the Jasper community. This supporting cast is a critical part of the success of our program. This fundraiser will help us pay for the budgeted expenses for the upcoming year including a regular and postseason track meet entry fees ranging from $100-$400, room and board at the state track meet $2000-$4000, and athlete meals $1500-$2000.
Along with my staff, I would like to personally thank everyone for supporting our program and invite each of you to a meet this year.
2019 is guaranteed to be an exciting season as we start building a Standard of Excellence.
Thank you for supporting the Jasper Track & Field Team.
