The 14th Student Athlete to sign a National Letter of Intent to compete in Intercollegiate Athletics for the Jasper High School class of 2019 comes by way of baseball slugger Slade Harbin. Slade has chosen to play collegiately at Bevill State in Fayette, AL.
Slade chose Bevill because “the coaches made me feel at home, and it gave me the opportunity to continue to play the game”. Slade will get the opportunity to continue playing the game, and Coach Joey May and the rest of the Bear Baseball staff are glad that he chose to do that in Fayette.
Slade will play first base and also do some catching for the Bears. While continuing his playing career, he will begin studies to prepare him for a Major in Mechanical Engineering.
