Vikings News · Swim Results: The Honda of Jasper Invitational

The Viking Swim Team wasted no time starting their season with a splash. The home season started on Thursday with The Honda of Jasper Invitational Meet that included 9 teams! This was the largest and most competitive meet ever hosted in Jasper.

The meet included: Mountain Brook, Hewitt Trussville, Briarwood Christian, Gadsden City, Thompson, Oak Mountain Westminster, Prattville Christian and Trinity Presbyterian.


The Viking Boys’ Team set the pace with a narrow 1st place finish over Briarwood Christian 134 – 133.

The Boys were led in scoring by:

Ethan West with 27 points, Luke Oliver with 26 points and John Abner Nicholson with 16 points.

The Girls held their own despite being without a top swimmer and finished in 2nd place overall.


The Girls were led in scoring by:

Ella Lynn with 31 points, Sadie Pierce with 13 points and Lila Oliver with 12 points

Numerous swimmers swam best times, and all swimmers swam great, but several swimmers were able to achieve Sectional State Cuts.
